Pirating software makes a big difference to other people, but the people who are most affected by pirated software are the creators of the software. Whether they are a developer or an artist, there will always be people who will download their work for free simply because they can. This has become a big issue for creators, and they have tried extensively hard to stop it from happening, but this still isn't enough. Imagine if you spent countless amount of hours with your colleagues working on a multi-million dollar project only to see it being downloaded illegally more than being purchased. How would you feel? This happens every day to many developers and artists. This is very frustrating as they end up losing for their hard earned work. 

I added a video of Jack Black's view of piracy because as an artist and an actor, he is constantly affected by people pirating things because he loses a lot of money.
